Paper Categories

Full Papers

  • Description: Present original work that meets the high-quality standards of GECCO. At most 8 pages (excluding references).
  • Publication: Appear in the ACM digital library as part of the Main Proceedings of GECCO.
  • Supplementary Material: Allowed, must be anonymized.
  • Abstract Deadline: January 22, 2025
  • Submission Deadline: January 29, 2025

Poster-only Papers

  • Description: Present original work that has not yet reached the maturity and completeness of research results that are published as full papers at GECCO. At most 4 pages (including references).
  • Publication: Appear in the ACM digital library as part of the Companion Proceedings of GECCO.
  • Submission Deadline: January 29, 2025

Double-Blind Review Process

Each paper submitted to GECCO will be rigorously reviewed in a double-blind review process. Authors must anonymize their submissions, ensuring no author names, affiliations, or acknowledgments are present. References to the authors' own work should be made as if the work belonged to someone else.

Publication Policy

All accepted papers will be published in the ACM Digital Library. Submitting substantially similar work to other conferences or journals is not allowed. Accepted papers may be extended and submitted to journals, provided the journal's policy permits.

Supplementary Material

Supplementary material (e.g., videos, PDF appendix, source code, data) can be submitted alongside the paper and must also be anonymized. It is encouraged to submit source code for replication of experiments. Material can be uploaded as PDF, ZIP, or TGZ files (max 10MB).

Requirements for Accepted Papers

Authors of accepted papers agree to:

  • Submit a final, revised, camera-ready version by the camera-ready deadline.
  • Register at least one author by May 15, 2025 to attend the conference as an in-person or online PRESENTER.
  • Attend the conference (at least one author).
  • Present the accepted paper at the conference.

If an author presents multiple papers, additional registration fees may not apply.
