Overview

The Prague Stringology Conference (PSC) 2025, the 28th in the series, will be held in Prague, Czech Republic, from August 25-26, 2025. Organized by the Prague Stringology Club at the Czech Technical University in Prague, the conference focuses on stringology, the processing of text strings, and related areas. Its proceedings are indexed in DBLP, Scopus, and Web of Science. The conference will be followed by the StringMasters workshop on August 27-28, 2025.

Prague Stringology Conference 2025 (PSC)

The Prague Stringology Conference 2025 is the 28th international conference focusing on stringology and related areas. It will be held in Prague, Czech Republic, from August 25–26, 2025, at the Faculty of Information Technology, Czech Technical University in Prague.

Stringology is a part of algorithmic research dealing with the processing of text strings and has evolved significantly over the past decades, with important contributions to fields like bioinformatics.

Topics of Interest

The topics of the conference include, but are not limited to:

  • Algorithms for pattern matching in strings, images, and trees
  • Data structures (automata, trees etc.) for pattern matching in strings, images, and trees
  • Coding and data compression
  • Bioinformatics
  • Information retrieval
  • String processing algorithms in databases
  • Searching for regularities
  • Natural language processing

Submission Information

  • The submission server is closed.
  • Authors were invited to submit full papers in PDF format, with a length of 10–15 pages, A4 page format.
  • The submission process involved submitting a paper title, authors, and abstract first, with the PDF paper being updatable until the final submission deadline.
  • For their final version, papers were required to be prepared using the PSC LaTeX style available at http://www.stringology.org/pscproc2.

Registration Fees

  • Conference Fee:
    • Early registration: EUR 245
    • Late registration: EUR 295
    • Includes: proceedings, refreshment, social event, conference dinner.
  • Accompanying Person:
    • Fee: EUR 50
    • Includes: social event, conference dinner.
  • Remote participation: No fee (not allowed for speakers).

Notes on Payment:

  • Wise is suggested for payments to minimize bank transfer fees.
  • Bank transfer details are provided for account name, number, bank name, address, IBAN, and SWIFT code.
  • Non-EU attendees should cover international wire transfer charges (instruction 'OUR'); EU attendees should use SEPA transfer.
  • The message for the transfer should include the name(s) of the person(s) for whom the fee is paid.
  • Receipts will be available at the conference site.
  • On-site payments are possible in cash only.

Publication

Proceedings are published by Czech Technical University in Prague and are indexed in DBLP, Scopus, and Web of Science. Selected papers may be invited for extended submission to an IARIA Journal.
