SSS 2025: Call for Papers

The 27th International Symposium on Stabilization, Safety, and Security of Distributed Systems (SSS 2025) is an international forum for researchers and practitioners in the design and development of distributed systems. The focus is on systems that can provide guarantees on their structure, performance, and/or security in the face of an adverse operational environment.

New Conference Model

SSS 2025 adopts a new conference model with THREE non-overlapping deadlines and submission rounds. Papers rejected in earlier rounds may be reworked and resubmitted to later rounds. Reviews from previous rounds will be transmitted to reviewers for resubmissions.

Paper Submission

  • Papers are to be submitted electronically through EasyChair.
  • All submissions must conform to the formatting instructions of Springer LNCS series.
  • Each submission must be an original work written in English, in PDF format.

Double-blind Review

All submissions must be anonymous. While authors are free to disseminate their work (e.g., via arXiv) and present it, they must ensure that their name or affiliation is not mentioned in the submission, and that references do not inadvertently reveal their identity.

Submissions Types

  • Regular papers: Must not exceed 15 pages (excluding references, with an appendix allowed for necessary details).
  • Brief announcements: Must not exceed 5 pages (including everything).
  • Submissions deviating from these guidelines will be rejected.
  • For the third round only, rejected regular papers can be considered for brief announcements upon author request.

Publication

  • Regular papers and brief announcements will be included in the conference proceedings published by Springer in the LNCS conference series.
  • Extended and revised versions of selected papers will be considered for a special issue of Theoretical Computer Science (Elsevier).

Paper Award

Prizes will be awarded for the best regular paper and the best student regular paper.
