Overview

The SIAM Symposium on Algorithm Engineering and Experiments (ALENEX25) will be held from January 12–13, 2025, in New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S., at the Astor Crowne Plaza - New Orleans French Quarter. The conference aims to provide a forum for original research in the design, implementation, and experimental evaluation of algorithms and data structures, ideally bridging the gap between theory and practice.

ALENEX25: Call for Papers

The SIAM Symposium on Algorithm Engineering and Experiments (ALENEX25) is a forum for the presentation of original research in the design, implementation, and experimental evaluation of algorithms and data structures.

It is scheduled to take place from January 12–13, 2025, in New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S., at the Astor Crowne Plaza - New Orleans French Quarter.

ALENEX is supported by SIAM and will be held jointly with the ACM-SIAM Symposium on Discrete Algorithms (SODA) and the SIAM Symposium on Simplicity in Algorithms (SOSA).

Proceedings will be posted online in January 2025.

Submission Status

Submission of new papers for ALENEX25 is closed.

About Submissions

Typical submissions will include an extensive experimental analysis of nontrivial algorithmic results, ideally bridging the gap between theory and practice. Submissions that address methodological issues and standards in the experimental evaluation of algorithms and data structures are also invited.

Topics of Interest

Relevant areas of applied algorithmic research include but are not limited to databases; geometry; graphs and networks, including web applications; operations research; combinatorial aspects of scientific computing; and computational problems in the natural sciences or engineering.

Also encouraged are submissions that address algorithms and data structures for advanced models of computing, including memory hierarchies and parallel computing, ranging from instruction parallelism over multicore computing to high-performance and cloud computing.
