Overview

The 22nd EuroXR International Conference – EuroXR 2025 will be held in Winterthur, Switzerland, from September 3rd to 5th, 2025, at the Campus St.-Georgenplatz – ZHAW School of Management and Law. The conference will cover Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR). The conference features keynote talks, plenary sessions, scientific, application, poster & demo tracks, and sessions on key European-funded projects.

Call for papers

EuroXR 2025: Call for Contributions

The EuroXR association invites you to contribute to the 22nd EuroXR International Conference - EuroXR 2025, hosted and co-organized by the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) in Winterthur, Switzerland.

Conference Tracks

The conference welcomes original, high-quality contributions in all areas of eXtended Reality (XR) technologies, related to Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR), and 3D User Interfaces.

  • Scientific Track: Papers (Long, Medium, or Short) describing novel research results will be published in a Springer LNCS volume. Authors of top papers may submit an extended version to the journal Computers & Graphics.
  • Application Track: Extended abstracts describing practical use cases of XR technologies.
  • Poster Track: Posters presenting preliminary results of research or application projects or work-in-progress. Submitted as an extended abstract.
  • Demo Track: Demos accompanying any type of submission or submitted independently. Submitted as an extended abstract.

Extended abstracts (2-4 pages) of accepted Application talks, or accepted Posters and Demos, will be published in an ISBN-registered proceedings, edited by VTT, Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd.

Scientific Track Submission Procedures

Two procedures are possible for Scientific paper submissions:

  1. Submission with Rebuttal Phase: Authors submitting before the first deadline (April 15) will receive review reports and can resubmit a revised paper after a rebuttal phase.
  2. Submission without Rebuttal Phase: Authors submitting to the second deadline (May 26) will not have a rebuttal phase.

All submissions will be reviewed by at least three independent reviewers.

Scientific Track

  • Scientific paper submission with rebuttal procedure: Apr 13, 2025 -> Apr 15, 2025
  • First notification for papers submitted with the rebuttal procedure: May 9, 2025 -> May 16, 2025
  • Deadline for revised papers in the rebuttal procedure: May 16, 2025 -> May 23, 2025
  • Scientific paper submission without rebuttal procedure: May 16, 2025 -> May 23, 2025 -> May 26, 2025
  • Final notification for all scientific papers (with or without Rebuttal): July 1, 2025 -> July 4, 2025
  • Camera-ready submission of accepted Scientific papers: July 14, 2025

Application, Posters and Demo Tracks

Scientific Track Paper Sizes

  • Long paper: 14-20 pages in the Springer format. References do not count towards that page limit. Presentation time: ~30 minutes.
  • Medium paper: 8-12 pages in Springer's format. References do not count towards that page limit. Presentation time: ~20 minutes.
  • Short paper: 4-6 pages Springer format. References do not count towards that page limit. For work-in-progress, position papers, etc. Presentation time: ~10 minutes.

Submission Guidelines

  • Submission System: https://meteor.springer.com/euroxr2025 - CLOSED
  • Submitted manuscripts must not have been previously published or under consideration for another venue.
  • In case of acceptance, at least one author is expected to present the paper in person at the conference.

Paper Formatting

Authors should consult Springer’s Instructions for Authors of Proceedings and use either the LaTeX or the Word templates provided on the authors’ page for the preparation of their papers. For your convenience, Springer’s proceedings LaTeX templates are also available in Overleaf.

  • Submissions must be fully anonymous for double-blind review.

Camera Ready Instructions

Authors will have to sign the Consent-to-Publish form via Meteor.

Authors of accepted contributions will have to prepare:

  • Camera-ready file (PDF)
  • Full source files (i.e. Latex file(s) and all the image files, or the full Word file)
  • Online signature of the Springer Consent-to-Publish form
  • Videos and other electronic supplementary material, which will be made available in SpringerLink

Springer encourages authors to include their ORCIDs with their names and affiliations and to adhere to Springer’s Code of Conduct.
