Overview

The 39th ECMS International Conference on Modelling and Simulation (ECMS 2025) will be held from June 24th to 27th, 2025, in Catania, Sicily, Italy, at the Monastery of San Nicolò l’Arena. Organized by the University of Messina in cooperation with the University of Catania, the conference is a forum for research, development, and applications of modelling and simulation, with a special focus on AI applications and massive computational resources.

Call For Papers

The ECMS International Conference on Modelling and Simulation is the annual conference of the European Council for Modelling and Simulation. ECMS 2025 is organized by the University of Messina, Italy in cooperation with the University of Catania, Italy, and will be held in Catania, Sicily, Italy, from June 24th to 27th, 2025, at the Monastery of San Nicolò l’Arena.

Theme

The theme for ECMS 2025 highlights the critical role of modelling and simulation in the evolution of modern industrial processes and scientific research, particularly in AI applications. It emphasizes the impact of massive computational resources and interconnectivity in advancing the field.

Call for Contributions

Prospective authors are invited to submit high-quality papers representing original results in all related areas of modelling and simulation. Published papers will be sent for indexation to DBLP, SCOPUS, ISI, INSPEC, and DOI. High-quality selected papers will be considered for publication in a focused issue with international journals. An author of each accepted paper must register and present the paper at the conference.

Important Dates

  • Submission of Full-Length Papers (7-10 pages): February 20th, 2025
  • Notification of Paper Acceptance: around March 15th, 2025 (tentative)
  • Submission of camera-ready Paper and payment: April 9th, 2025 (firm)
  • Conference dates in Catania: June 24th-27th, 2025

Submission Guidelines

  • Detailed instructions for submission are available on the ECMS 2025 conference website.
  • All submitted papers will be evaluated for the Best Conference Paper Award and Best Student Paper Award.
  • The final author manuscripts should adhere to the author kit guidelines.

Registration Fees

ALL FEES need to be paid by April 9th, 2025:

  • RETURNING Author or Participant: 450€
  • STUDENT (with proof sent): 375€
  • NEW Author or Participant: 500€
  • For a second or subsequent accepted paper of an already registered Author (no additional person attending): 275€ for each additional accepted paper
  • For a subsequent attending Author of an accepted paper with one already registered Author: 375€ for each additional Author of an accepted paper
  • Paper size exceeding 7 pages: 40€ for each additional page over 7
  • Exhibition: 500€
  • Printed Proceedings with CD-version: 60€/each (can be ordered on payment/registration page)

Publication

  • Communications of the ECMS is the yearly series published by the Council. All papers are also published online in open access in the ECMS Digital Library.
  • Communications of the ECMS is indexed by SCOPUS, THOMSON REUTERS, DBLP, INSPEC, and DOI.
