The International Conference on Agents and Artificial Intelligence (ICAART 2026) aims to bring together researchers, engineers, and practitioners in the fields of Agents and Artificial Intelligence. The conference will cover both applications and advanced research, focusing on developing new ideas. ICAART 2026 will be held from March 5-7, 2026, at the Barceló Marbella hotel in Costa del Sol, Spain, and is co-located with MODELSWARD 2026, ICISSP 2026, and PHOTOPTICS 2026, offering hybrid participation options.

ICAART 2026: Call for Papers

The International Conference on Agents and Artificial Intelligence (ICAART 2026) aims to bring together researchers, engineers, and practitioners interested in the theory and applications of Agents and Artificial Intelligence. The conference focuses on fostering new ideas for further progress, covering areas such as Agents, Multi-Agent Systems, Software Platforms, Distributed Problem Solving, Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge Representation, Planning, Learning, Scheduling, and Perception, with applications including Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLMs), Legal Technologies, and Quantum Computing.

ICAART 2026 will be held from March 5 - 7, 2026, at the Barceló Marbella hotel, located in the heart of the Costa del Sol, Spain. The conference is organized by INSTICC and is held in conjunction with MODELSWARD 2026, ICISSP 2026, and PHOTOPTICS 2026. Registration to ICAART allows free access to the co-located conferences as a non-speaker. Speakers unable to travel to the venue are allowed to present remotely (hybrid support).

SCOPE

The scientific goal of ICAART is to stimulate the development of new ideas for further progress in Agents and Artificial Intelligence. The conference covers theoretical and applied aspects, including current advanced research work.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Authors are invited to submit original work in the form of a complete paper or an abstract. Accepted abstracts will be presented but not published in the conference proceedings.

  • Language: Papers must be in English, carefully checked for correct grammar and spelling.
  • Originality: Only original papers should be submitted. Submissions must not substantially overlap with work already published or simultaneously submitted to a journal or another conference. Papers with plagiarism will be rejected without review. Authors should avoid excessive self-citations and co-authors.
  • Anonymization: For the double-blind evaluation method, authors are requested to provide papers WITHOUT any reference to authors' personal details, acknowledgments, or any other identifying information.
  • Submission Platform: All papers must be submitted through the online submission platform PRIMORIS.
  • Templates: Instructions and templates can be found on the conference website under Guidelines and Templates. Authors will receive an automatic confirmation email upon successful submission.

PUBLICATION

  • All accepted complete papers will be published in the conference proceedings with an ISBN and on digital support.
  • SCITEPRESS is a member of CrossRef, and each paper on our digital library is given a DOI (Digital Object Identifier).
  • The proceedings will be submitted for indexation by SCOPUS, Google Scholar, DBLP, Semantic Scholar, EI, and Web of Science/Conference Proceedings Citation Index.
  • A short list of revised and extended versions of presented papers will be considered for publication with Springer in an LNAI Series book (final approval pending).
  • A short list of best papers will be invited for a post-conference special issue of the Springer Nature Computer Science Journal.

CONTRIBUTION TYPES

  • Regular Paper: Represents completed and validated research. Published in proceedings.
  • Position Paper: A short report of work in progress or an arguable opinion about an issue. Published in proceedings.
  • Abstracts: Presented at the conference but NOT published in the proceedings.
  • Workshops: Dedicated to technical/scientific topics.
  • Special Sessions: Dedicated to case-studies and commercial presentations.
  • Tutorials: Technical/scientific topics.
  • Demos: Presentation of products/methodologies.
  • Panels: Discussions on challenging areas.
