Overview

The 17th International Conference on Advanced Visual Interfaces (AVI 2024) was held in Arenzano (Genoa), Italy, from June 3rd to 7th, 2024. The conference focused on the conception, design, implementation, and evaluation of novel visual interfaces and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) topics. Accepted papers are published in the ACM International Conference Proceeding Series (ICPS) and available in the ACM Digital Library. The next AVI edition will be held in Venice.

Submission Instructions

  • Submission Platform: The submission process is managed through EasyChair: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=avi2024
  • Abstract: A 250-word abstract is requested before paper submission.
  • Anonymization: Submissions must be anonymized. Remove any information that could reveal the authors' identity. Citation to authors' previous work should not be anonymous and should be in the third person in the text, e.g., "As described by [10]" and not "As described in our previous work [10]".
  • Auxiliary Materials: Authors are allowed to upload auxiliary materials and short videos (not exceeding 2 minutes). However, papers should be self-contained. Auxiliary material must also be anonymized.

Formatting

  • All submissions must be formatted according to the ACM SIGCONF template.
  • Latex: SIGCONF template via Overleaf
  • Word: ACM Interim Template (Recommended updated template for submission and mandatory for camera-ready)
  • Format: The required format is double-column.

Paper Length

  • Long Papers: Maximum 8 pages (+1 for references).
  • Short Papers: Maximum 4 pages (+1 for references).
  • Poster Papers: Up to 2 pages (+1 for references), not anonymized.
  • Demo Papers: Up to 2 pages (+1 for references), not anonymized.

Proceedings

Accepted papers will be published in the ACM International Conference Proceeding Series (ICPS) and will be available in the ACM Digital Library.

For each accepted paper, at least one author must register to AVI 2024 by the early registration deadline for authors and present the paper at the Conference.
