Call for Papers: ICCHP 2024

The International Conference on Computers Helping People with Special Needs (ICCHP 2024) invites contributions that highlight the role of technology, particularly digital technology, for independent living, participation, and inclusion, and improved services and support. The conference is open to all visionary ideas and future-oriented thoughts supporting its mission, from all over the globe.

Contribution Categories

ICCHP features different categories to accommodate its broad interdisciplinary diversity. We are looking forward to welcoming your contribution to the following categories:

• Special Thematic Sessions (STS): Expert groups, projects, or organizations are invited to organize focused and moderated sessions.
• I. Science, Research and Engineering Contributions: For scientific contributions, with two publishing options:
  • Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science series (LNCS)
  • Open Access Compendium (OAC) “Future Perspectives on Accessibility, AT and (e)Inclusion” (DOI referenced)
  • Presentation Only Contributions ("no publication") are also considered upon request.
• II. Innovation Area: Contributions in various formats facilitated by you or your organization:
  • Workshops
  • Seminars
  • Tutorials
  • Other types of meetings (e.g., open or closed project meetings)
  • Exhibition of projects, products, prototypes, services, and posters.
• III. Young Researchers' Consortium (YRC): Contributions are peer-reviewed by the Young Researchers Committee. YRC contributors are also invited to use one of the publication options (LNCS or OAC).
• IV. ICCHP-OCG Roland Wagner Award: Nominations for outstanding individuals, institutions, groups, and/or products/tools in the area of Accessibility, Assistive Technologies, and tech-social Inclusion.

• For Special Thematic Sessions (STS):

  • Deadline for proposing Special Thematic Sessions (STS): January 19, 2024
  • Deadline for camera-ready version of STS Introduction: April 12, 2024

• For Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) and Open Access Compendium (OAC):

  • Deadline for Extended Abstracts: February 2, 2024
  • Deadline for reviews: March 1, 2024
  • Notification of acceptance: March 15, 2024
  • Deadline for camera-ready papers and speaker registration: April 12, 2024

• For Contributions to Innovation Area (Posters, Prototypes, Products, Services, Projects, Meetings):

  • Deadline for Proposals: May 3, 2024
  • Notification of Acceptance: May 31, 2024

• For Contributions to the Young Researchers’ Consortium (YRC):

  • Deadline for submissions: May 3, 2024
  • Notification of Acceptance: May 14, 2024

• For Awards:

  • Deadline for Nominations for the ICCHP OCG Roland Wagner Award: June 14, 2024

• Conference Main Dates:

  • Preliminary Program: May 10, 2024
  • Early Registration Deadline: May 15, 2024
  • Conference: July 8-12, 2024
