Broadnets 2025: Call for Papers

The 16th International Conference on Broadband Communications, Networks, and Systems (Broadnets 2025) will take place from August 14-16, 2025, in Sunyani, Ghana.

The conference focuses on cutting-edge research and technological advancements in next-generation communication networks, artificial intelligence-driven security mechanisms, and intelligent systems. It aims to provide a platform for researchers, industry professionals, and policymakers to explore innovative solutions in 5G/6G networks, IoT-enabled smart systems, speech and signal processing, cybersecurity, and edge computing.

Scope and Topics

The conference seeks novel, innovative, and exciting work in areas including but not limited to:

  • 5G/6G and Use Cases of 5G/6G Systems
  • Software-Defined Networking (SDN)-Enabled Systems
  • Internet of Things (IoT)-Enabled Smart Systems
  • Cloud-to-Things Systems
  • Edge Cooperative Computing and Fog Computing
  • Vehicular Networks
  • Smart City and Smart Grid Applications
  • Digital Twin Technology
  • Speech and Signal Processing for secure communications, speech enhancement, audio analytics, and intelligent voice-based applications
  • Distributed Systems Security
  • Trust and Access Control
  • Data Privacy and Integrity

Key areas of interest include network architectures, distributed computing, digital twin technologies, vehicular communication, trust and privacy mechanisms, and AI-driven anomaly detection. The conference will also highlight advancements in speech and signal processing techniques, particularly in secure communications, speech enhancement, and audio analytics for real-time applications.

Important Dates

  • Full Paper Submission deadline: April 15th, 2025
  • Notification deadline: May 10th, 2025
  • Camera-ready deadline: June 14th, 2025

Submission Guidelines

  • All papers must be submitted in English.
  • Previously published work cannot be submitted, nor can it be concurrently submitted to any other conference or journal. Such papers will be rejected without review.
  • Papers must follow the Springer formatting guidelines (available in the Author’s Kit section).
  • Authors must read and agree to the Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement.
  • As per new EU accessibility requirements, all figures, illustrations, tables, and images should have descriptive text accompanying them. Please refer to the guide on HOW TO WRITE GOOD ALT TEXT.

Paper Submission

  • Papers should be submitted through EAI 'Confy+' system.
  • Regular papers should be up to 12-15+ pages in length.
  • Short papers should be 6-11 pages in length.

All conference papers undergo a thorough peer review process by experts in the Technical Program Committee.

Papers must be formatted using the Springer LNICST Authors’ Kit.

When uploading the camera-ready copy, please upload both:

  • a PDF copy of your paper formatted according to the templates.
  • an archive file (e.g. zip, tar.gz) containing both a PDF copy of your paper and LaTeX or Word source material prepared according to the guidelines.

Publication

All registered papers will be submitted for publishing by Springer and made available through SpringerLink Digital Library.

Proceedings will be submitted for inclusion in leading indexing services, such as Web of Science, Compendex, Scopus, DBLP, EU Digital Library, Google Scholar, IO-Port, MathSciNet, Inspec, and Zentralblatt MATH.

Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit an extended version to:

  • Springer Wireless Networks (WINET) Journal [IF: 2.1 (2023)]

All accepted authors are eligible to submit an extended version in a fast track of:

  • EAI Endorsed Transactions on Mobile Communications and Applications

Authors also have the opportunity to publish their articles in the EAI Endorsed Transactions journal (Scopus, Ei-indexed, ESCI-WoS, Compendex) by paying an additional $150 (discounted from the standard $250 rate for conference authors).

  • EAI Endorsed Transactions on Scalable Information Systems (ESCI-WoS, Compendex)

Requirements for extended versions:

  • It must be an extended version of the conference paper with a different title and abstract. In general, 30% of new content must be added.
  • The article will be processed once the conference proceedings have been published.
  • The article will be processed using the fast-track option.
