HSI 2025: Call for Papers

We warmly invite researchers, practitioners, and thought leaders to share their original insights that delve into groundbreaking research, innovative applications, and essential challenges in human-system interaction.

Join us in Ulsan, South Korea, from July 16 to 19, 2025, for the 17th International Conference on Human System Interaction.

Submission Process

Prospective authors are invited to electronically submit full regular papers of their work using the IES submission system: https://confcomm.ieee-ies.org/app/general/conferences/HSI25/initial-submission.

• Authors will need to register to use the system.
• After registering, wait for the confirmation email and verify your email address.
• If you encounter issues with your submission, please contact ieee.ies.hsi@gmail.com.

Format & Length

• Regular papers: Limited to six (6) pages of A4 or letter format. An additional 2 pages can be included at an extra fee.
• Work in Progress (WIP) papers: Follow regular paper submission guidelines, with a shorter limit of 4 pages. WIP papers will not be published in the conference proceedings and IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
• Templates: It is strongly recommended to use the set of templates in MS Word and LaTeX formats provided by IEEE: https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html.

Originality

Please ensure that only original work is submitted (not previously published/copyrighted). The conference will use the CrossCheck automated screening system to verify originality. IEEE enforces disciplinary actions for violations.

Final Submission & Copyright

• Submit the final version of your paper in the IES submission system, incorporating reviewer feedback.
• After submitting the final version, a "sign IEEE copyright" option will be available in the submission system, leading to the IEEE eCF site for copyright transfer.
• Do not add any copyright notice in the bottom margin of your first page; the post-production team will add the correct notice.

Publication

All regular papers presented during the conference will be submitted to the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.

Special Sessions and Tutorials

Proposals for special sessions and tutorials are invited. Proposals should cover emerging research areas, especially themes not covered by regular tracks.

Proposal Process:

2. Send the completed document to ieee.ies.hsi@gmail.com.
3. Receive an acceptance email for the proposal.
4. Submit a paper through the submission system.
