KR 2025: Call for Papers - Main Track

The International Conference on Principles of Knowledge Representation and Reasoning (KR) is a well-established and vibrant field of research within Artificial Intelligence. KR builds on the fundamental thesis that knowledge can often be represented in an explicit declarative form, suitable for processing by dedicated symbolic reasoning engines.

KR 2025 will be held in Melbourne, Australia, from November 11-17, 2025, co-located with CPAIOR 2025, ICAPS 2025, and NMR 2025.

Main Track

We solicit papers presenting novel results on the principles of KR, which clearly contribute to the formal foundations of the field or show the applicability of KR techniques to implemented or implementable systems. We welcome papers from other areas that demonstrate clear use of, or contributions to, the principles or practice of KR. We also encourage "reports from the field" of applications, experiments, developments, and tests.

Important Dates (Main Track)

All deadlines are AoE - Anywhere on Earth (UTC-12).

  • Submission of title and abstract: May 7, 2025
  • Paper submission deadline: May 12, 2025
  • Author response period: June 25 - July 1, 2025
  • Notification of acceptance: July 10, 2025
  • Camera-ready due: August 15, 2025

Submission Guidelines

  • Submissions should be anonymous and will be subject to double-blind peer review.
  • Anonymity should not come at the expense of the paper's quality, hinder the review process, or obstruct the communication of innovative ideas. Authors should avoid using "I/we" and "my/our" when referring to their previous work, but should not exclude key references.
  • Contributions may be regular papers (up to 9 pages) or short papers (up to 4 pages). These page limits include abstract, figures, and appendices (if any) but exclude references and acknowledgements.
  • Papers must be written in English and formatted using the provided style files.
  • The PDF file should be submitted through EasyChair: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=kr2025.
  • Authors may submit a separate PDF or ZIP file with additional information supporting their claims (e.g., proof details, experimental results). This supplementary material is optional and will not be published.
  • At least one author of each accepted paper is required to participate in the conference and present the work.

Publication

Accepted papers will be published in the KR 2025 proceedings.

Top papers from KR 2025 will be invited to the award-winning paper tracks of Artificial Intelligence (AIJ) and the Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research (JAIR).
