EUroComb: Call for Papers

The Joint IAPR International Workshops on Statistical Techniques in Pattern Recognition and Structural and Syntactic Pattern Recognition (S+SSPR 2026) will be held in Bern, Switzerland from August 24-26, 2026.

S+SSPR 2026 is a joint event organized by Technical Committee 1 (Statistical Pattern Recognition Technique) and Technical Committee 2 (Structural and Syntactical Pattern Recognition) of the International Association of Pattern Recognition (https://iapr.org/). The 21st edition of S+SSPR will be hosted by the University of Bern, Switzerland.

Accepted papers (not exceeding 10 pages) will be published in Springer’s Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series, providing that at least one author will register to the workshop and present the paper.

Keynote Speakers

The workshop will invite two highly distinguished researchers to give a keynote speech. One of the two speakers will be the winner of the 2026 Pierre Devijver Prize.

Submission and Camera-Ready Instructions

All manuscripts (max 10 pages, including all references) must follow Springer’s LNCS style (Latex or Word). All papers are submitted via EasyChair in pdf format, and will be reviewed by at least two anonymous reviewers.

Camera-ready versions of the accepted papers are due on July 15, 2026. This is a strict deadline.

Please familiarize yourself with the LNCS author guidelines.

You will need to prepare the following files for your camera-ready submission:

• A zipped file containing all your LaTeX sources OR a Word file in the RTF format (use the LaTeX or Microsoft Word templates)
• A PDF version of your camera-ready paper
• A completed, scanned, and signed copy of the Copyright form

Registration Fees

All prices are in CHF. IAPR Members and Students are required to send proof of status to the Secretariat (corina.masanti@unibe.ch). All accepted papers require one Early Bird registration from at least one author of the paper. Please mention your paper number when registering. Each registration can cover a maximum of three papers.
