CHIRA 2025: Call for Papers

The International Conference on Computer-Human Interaction Research and Applications (CHIRA) aims to bring together professionals, academics, and students interested in the advancement of research and practical applications in computer-human interaction.

CHIRA 2025 will be held from May 18, 2025 to May 22, 2025 in Nice, France, and is sponsored by INSTICC.

Onsite and Online Options

Although the conference is returning to its in-person format, speakers unable to travel will be allowed to present remotely (hybrid support).

Scope

The conference covers different aspects of Computer-Human Interaction, including Human Factors and Information Systems, Interactive Devices, Interaction Design, and Adaptive and Intelligent Systems. Papers describing original work on advanced methods, prototypes, systems, tools, and techniques, as well as survey papers indicating future directions, are encouraged.

Paper Submission

Authors can submit their work as a complete paper or an abstract. Accepted abstracts are presented but not published in the proceedings.

Submission Types:

• Regular Paper: Completed and validated research.
• Position Paper: Work in progress or an arguable opinion.
• Abstract: For works presented but not published in proceedings.

Submission Guidelines:

• Papers must be in English, checked for grammar and spelling.
• Submissions must address one or several conference areas/topics.
• Double-blind paper evaluation method: Papers must be submitted WITHOUT any reference to authors' identities, including personal details or acknowledgments.
• Only original papers should be submitted. Authors must adhere to INSTICC's ethical norms regarding plagiarism and self-plagiarism.
• All papers must be submitted through the online submission platform PRIMORIS.
• Follow the instructions and templates found under Guidelines and Templates.
• Accepted file formats: .pdf or .doc.

Publications

All accepted complete papers will be published by Springer in the conference proceedings (CCIS Series).

Proceedings will be submitted for evaluation for indexing by: Web of Science/Conference Proceedings Citation Index, DBLP, Google Scholar, EI-Compendex, INSPEC, JST, Norwegian Register for Scientific Journals and Series, Mathematical Reviews, SCImago, Scopus, and zbMATH.
