MODELSWARD 2026: Call for Papers

The International Conference on Model-Based Software and Systems Engineering (MODELSWARD) provides a platform for participants to present research results and application experience in using model-based techniques for developing all sorts of systems. Model-based software engineering relies on an increasingly rich ecosystem of techniques, languages, and tools. MODELSWARD is sponsored by INSTICC.

Scope

MODELSWARD aims at fostering the further development and application of model-based techniques for the construction and analysis of software and systems. Papers reporting on original work are welcome, including those describing advanced prototypes, systems, tools and techniques, and general survey papers indicating future directions. Accepted papers, presented at the conference by one of the authors, will be published in the MODELSWARD proceedings. The conference is open to full research and (short) work-in-progress papers. Sessions are planned for both oral and poster presentations.

Keynote Speakers

MODELSWARD 2026 will feature keynote speakers who are internationally recognized experts (names not yet confirmed).

Paper Submission

Authors can submit either a complete paper or an abstract. Accepted abstracts will be presented but not published in the proceedings. Complete papers can be submitted as either a Regular Paper or a Position Paper.

Submissions should be in English, carefully checked for grammar and spelling. Each paper should clearly indicate its technical/scientific contribution. Authors are requested to produce papers WITHOUT any reference to the authors' identities for double-blind evaluation.

Only original papers should be submitted, following INSTICC's ethical norms regarding plagiarism. All papers must be submitted through the online submission platform PRIMORIS, following the guidelines and templates.

Publications

All accepted complete papers will be published in the conference proceedings, with an ISBN reference, on paper and on digital support.
SCITEPRESS is a member of CrossRef, and every paper is given a DOI.
The proceedings will be submitted for indexation by SCOPUS, Google Scholar, DBLP, Semantic Scholar, EI and Web of Science / Conference Proceedings Citation Index.
