Call for Papers: HiPC 2025

The 32nd IEEE International Conference on High Performance Computing, Data, & Analytics (HiPC 2025) will be held from December 17 to December 20, 2025, in Hyderabad, India.

HiPC serves as a forum to present current work by researchers in the areas of high performance computing and data science. The meeting focuses on all aspects of high performance computing systems, and data science and analytics, and their scientific, engineering, and commercial applications.

Authors are invited to submit original unpublished research manuscripts that demonstrate current research in all areas of high performance computing, and data science and analytics, covering all traditional areas and emerging topics including machine learning and big data analytics. Each submission should be submitted under the two broad themes of High Performance Computing and Data Science.

Up to two best paper awards will be given for outstanding contributed papers.

• Rebuttal Period: August 21-26, 2025

Submission Guidelines

• Manuscript Length: Full papers may not exceed ten (10) single-spaced double-column pages using 10-point size font on 8.5×11 inch pages (IEEE conference style), including figures, tables, and references. Up to two extra pages can be purchased at the time of publishing.
• Format: Electronic submissions must be in the form of a readable PDF file. Use IEEE conference style templates for MS Word and LaTeX, available from IEEE eXpress Conference Publishing.
• Double-Blind Review: Submitted manuscripts should NOT list any authors or their affiliations. The author list at the time of submission is considered final.
• No Show Policy: At least one author of each paper must be registered for the conference for the paper to be published in the proceedings. Presentation of an accepted paper is a requirement for publication.

High Performance Computing Topics

• Algorithms: New parallel and distributed algorithms, enhancing algorithmic properties, resource allocation, provably efficient algorithms, computation models (e.g., quantum, neuromorphic).
• Architecture: Processing architectures (e.g., many cores, vector), networks, memory/cache/storage (e.g., 3D, NVRAM), energy efficiency, emerging architectures.
• Applications: Scalable applications for parallel/distributed/accelerated platforms, methods for scaling, hardware acceleration (GPUs, FPGAs), application benchmarks.
• Systems Software: Scalable system/software architectures, compiler/runtime optimization, parallel application development tools, resilience/fault tolerance, cloud/data center software, heterogeneous platform software.

Data Science and AI Topics

• Scalable Data Science: Scalable algorithms, systems, and software for data analysis at scale, streaming, summarization, data-driven applications, system software for data frameworks, distributed data frameworks, case studies, standards.
• AI/ML for Systems and Systems for AI/ML: AI/ML for system design and optimization, AI/ML for HPC applications, scaling ML/DL/NLP/CV, efficient model training/inference, fairness/interpretability, end-to-end ML pipeline optimization, compound AI systems, ML benchmarks.

Quality of Submission

Submissions should articulate contributions in terms of:

• Motivation
• Limitations of state-of-the-art approaches
• Key insights and contributions
• Methodology
• Limitations of the proposed approach

Use of AI-assisted text

AI tools like ChatGPT or Grammarly are allowed for language rectification. Authors must disclose the use of AI-generated text in the acknowledgments section with appropriate citations. Acknowledgments must adhere to double-blind submission guidelines.

ArXiv Submission Policy

Having an arXiv paper does not prohibit submission. Authors should follow double-blind guidelines and take preventive measures to reduce the chances of accidental breach of anonymity.

Inclusive Description of Research Contributions

Authors are encouraged to use gender-neutral pronouns, diverse examples, and make their work accessible to visually impaired or color-blind readers.

Review Process

All submitted manuscripts will be reviewed by the Program Committee under a double-blind review process. Papers will be judged on correctness, originality, technical strength, significance, potential impact, quality of presentation, and relevance. Initial decisions may be Accept, Reject, or Shepherd (requiring revision).
