IEEE MMSP 2025: Call for Papers

The IEEE 27th International Workshop on Multimedia Signal Processing (MMSP 2025) will be held from September 21 to September 23, 2025, in Shougang Industrial Park, Beijing, China.

This workshop aims to bring together researchers and practitioners from academia and industry who are dedicated to advancing the field of multimedia signal processing. It is organized by the Multimedia Signal Processing Technical Committee of the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS).

Submission Types

Prospective authors are invited to submit:

• Regular Papers: (4-6 pages, including all references)
• Special Session Papers: (4-6 pages, including all references)
• Demo Papers: (1 page)
• Grand Challenge Contributions

• Multimedia with Generative Models
• Multimedia Safety, Security, and Forensics in the AI Era
• Multimedia with Self-Supervised Learning
• Multimedia with Large-Scale Models
• Multimedia with Big Data

• I2SAP: Immersive & Intelligent Speech & Audio Processing
• Go Beyond 2D Image/Video: 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) Compression for World Model Building

For Authors

• Conference content will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore as well as other Abstracting and Indexing (A&I) databases.
• The CMT3 system only supports PDF and DOC file formats.
• Submission process is single-blind.
• If you wish to submit supplementary videos or other supporting materials, you can include links to these materials within the PDF document for reviewers to access. However, there is no guarantee that the reviewers will look at them.
• The submission process follows the IEEE SPS Multimedia Signal Processing EDICS system. Please choose the appropriate topic(s)/ subtopic(s) when submitting your paper.

Timeline

• Paper Submission Deadline: June 22, 2025 (AoE)
• Notification of Acceptance: July 22, 2025
• Camera-ready Submission: August 8, 2025

Thematic School

After the regular MMSP workshop, a thematic school will be held at Tsinghua University with the theme “Immersive MultiMedia – Capture, Reconstruction, Compression, Generation.” Students who register and attend the conference can join the school FOR FREE.
