The 21st IEEE International Conference on Automation Science and Engineering (CASE 2025) will be held in Los Angeles, California, USA, from August 17 – August 21, 2025. Pre-conference workshops are scheduled for August 17, 2025.

CASE 2025 will focus on Secured and Trustworthy Automation. Research is crucial to address vulnerabilities and biases stemming from system design, data collection, machine learning, or control.

  • Page Limit: Six (6) pages. Two (2) additional pages are permitted at an extra charge. Papers exceeding 8 pages will be returned without review.
  • Format: PDF, adhering to the standard IEEE double-column format.
  • Submission: Via the RAS Papercept submission portal.
  • Publication: All accepted regular papers will be included in the conference program and published in IEEE Xplore.
  • Deadline: March 15, 2025 (final).

Special Session Paper

  • Page Limit: Six (6) pages. Two (2) additional pages are permitted at an extra charge. Papers exceeding 8 pages will be returned without review.
  • Format: PDF, adhering to the standard IEEE double-column format.

T-ASE, T-RO, RA-L and RAM Presentation

  • Authors of papers published in eligible IEEE Robotics & Automation Society journals (T-ASE, T-RO, RA-L, RAM) can present their work at CASE 2025.
  • Submission: As a "Presentation-only paper" via the RAS Papercept submission portal. No further review is required.
  • Publication: Oral presentations only; not in IEEE Xplore.
  • Eligibility Window: Paper must be transferred between December 1, 2024, and May 2, 2025.
  • Deadline: April 30, 2025.

  • Language: English.
  • Format: Standard IEEE 2-column format. Only PDF files will be accepted.
  • Review Process: Single-blind review system (author identities known to reviewers, reviewer identities not disclosed).
  • Plagiarism: All submissions will be checked for similarity using iThenticate.
  • Generative AI: Manuscripts generated by generative AI language tools are prohibited. Partial use requires full reference. AI tools cannot be listed as authors. Light editing for spelling/grammar is permissible with acknowledgment.
