Call for Papers - ICAART 2026

The International Conference on Agents and Artificial Intelligence (ICAART) 2026 aims to bring together researchers, engineers, and practitioners interested in the theory and applications in the areas of Agents and Artificial Intelligence, covering both applications and current advanced research work. The scientific goal is to stimulate new ideas for further progress.

This year's ICAART will be held from March 5-8, 2026, at the Barceló Marbella hotel in Costa del Sol, Spain. The conference is co-located with MODELSWARD 2026, ICISSP 2026, and PHOTOPTICS 2026.

Scope

ICAART focuses on:

• Agents: Multi-Agent Systems, Software Platforms, Distributed Problem Solving.
• Artificial Intelligence: Knowledge Representation, Planning, Learning, Scheduling, Perception.

Paper Submission

Authors can submit their work in the form of a complete paper or an abstract. Accepted abstracts are presented but not published in the conference proceedings.

Complete papers can be submitted as a Regular Paper (completed and validated research) or a Position Paper (work in progress or an arguable opinion).

• Submissions must be in English, carefully checked for grammar and spelling.
• Papers should address one or more conference areas or topics, clearly indicating their contribution and applicability.
• Double-blind paper evaluation method: Authors are kindly requested to provide papers WITHOUT any reference to authors' details, acknowledgments, or any other identifying information.
• Only original papers should be submitted. Plagiarism and self-plagiarism are strictly prohibited and will lead to rejection.
• Avoid excessive self-citations and co-authors.
• All papers must be submitted through the online submission platform PRIMORIS.
• Follow the instructions and templates found under Guidelines and Templates.

Publications

• All accepted complete papers will be published in the conference proceedings, with an ISBN and DOI, and available on the SCITEPRESS Digital Library.
• Proceedings will be submitted for indexation by SCOPUS, Google Scholar, DBLP, Semantic Scholar, EI, and Web of Science/Conference Proceedings Citation Index.
• A short list of revised and extended versions of presented papers will be considered for publication with Springer in a LNAI Series book (final approval pending).
• A short list of best papers will be invited for a post-conference special issue of the Springer Nature Computer Science Journal.

The conference will take place at the Barceló Marbella hotel, located in the heart of the Costa del Sol, Spain.

Logistics

• ICAART 2026 is held in conjunction with MODELSWARD 2026, ICISSP 2026, and PHOTOPTICS 2026.
• Registration to ICAART allows free access to the MODELSWARD, ICISSP, and PHOTOPTICS conferences (as a non-speaker).
• Hybrid Support: Speakers unable to travel to the venue are exceptionally allowed to present remotely.
