Aperçu
AIES 2026 is the 9th AAAI/ACM Conference on AI, Ethics, and Society, held October 12-14, 2026 at Malmo Live in Malmö, Sweden. The conference invites interdisciplinary work on the ethical and societal dimensions of artificial intelligence, including governance, power, institutional impacts, fairness, accountability, human-centered AI, privacy and safety.
AIES 2026 invites work that analyzes ethical and societal challenges of AI and helps reimagine the institutions, practices and values needed to govern AI responsibly. The CFP encourages submissions grounded in real-world AI deployments and institutional settings; work connecting normative claims to sociotechnical, organizational, legal or policy contexts; cross-national or comparative perspectives; reflexive accounts of ethics in practice; and contributions that communicate across disciplinary boundaries. Topics include AI governance, accountability, power and political economy, trustworthy AI, fairness, explainability, human-centered AI, AI in law and public administration, surveillance and privacy, labor and global inequalities, environmental costs and societal limits of AI.
