The 36th International Conference on Database and Expert Systems Applications (DEXA 2025) will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, from August 25-27, 2025. All accepted papers will be published by Springer in their Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series. The conference will be held in person only.

DEXA 2025: Call for Papers

The 36th International Conference on Database and Expert Systems Applications (DEXA 2025) will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, from August 25-27, 2025.

DEXA 2025 will be an in-person event only. All accepted papers must be presented at the conference by one of the authors to avoid exclusion from SpringerLink and eligibility for the Best Paper Award.

Submission Guidelines

  • Submission Policy: Single-blind review.
  • Paper Types: Original research contributions, experience reports.
  • Submission Length:
    • Full papers: up to 15 pages (including references and appendixes).
    • Short papers: up to 6 pages (for interesting and innovative ideas requiring further technical development).
  • Formatting: Authors must use Springer’s LNCS templates (available for LaTeX or Word).
  • Submission Platform: Papers must be submitted electronically via HotCRP: https://dexa2025.iiwas.org.
    • Note: Public email services (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, etc.) cannot be used for HotCRP registration. Please use your institutional email address.

Important Dates

  • Paper submission: 10 April 2025 (Sharp & Final)
  • Notification of acceptance: 20 May 2025 (sent)
  • Camera-ready copies due: 15 June 2025
  • Authors Registration deadline: 15 June 2025
  • Conference days: 25-27 August 2025

Publication

All accepted DEXA2025 papers will be published by Springer in their Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS). LNCS volumes are indexed in Scopus, EI Engineering Index, Google Scholar, DBLP, etc., and submitted for indexing in the Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI), part of Clarivate Analytics’ Web of Science.

Selected high-quality papers, after revision and extension, will be invited for publication in a special issue of Knowledge and Information Systems (KAIS), Springer (IF=3.2), and Data & Knowledge Engineering (DKE), Elsevier (IF=2.7).
