Call for Contributions ESWC 2025

The Extended Semantic Web Conference (ESWC) is a major venue for discussing the latest scientific results and technology innovations around semantic technologies and Knowledge Graphs. ESWC 2025 marks the 22nd edition, which will take place from June 1 to 5, 2025, in Portoroz, Slovenia.

ESWC 2025 features several calls for contributions, including main tracks, workshops, tutorials, and more:

Main Tracks

ESWC 205 features three main tracks:

  • Research Track: For novel research contributions.
  • In-use Track: For contributions that reuse and apply state-of-the-art semantic technology in practical settings.
  • Resources Track: For data and software supporting the community.

Important Dates for Research, Resources, and In-Use Tracks

  • Abstract submission (mandatory): December 12, 2024
  • Paper submission (Hard): December 19, 2024
  • Opening of rebuttal period: January 29, 2025
  • Closing of rebuttal period: February 4, 2025
  • Notification to authors: February 24, 2025
  • Camera-ready papers due: March 27, 2025

All deadlines are 23:59 anywhere on earth (UTC-12).

Submission Guidelines

  • ESWC welcomes original research and application submissions dealing with all aspects of representing and using Semantic Web technologies and Knowledge Graphs.
  • Submitted papers should describe original work, present significant results, and provide rigorous, principled, and repeatable evaluation.
  • Change of authors after acceptance is not allowed.
  • Links to datasets, evaluation materials, demos, and software source code are strongly encouraged.
  • Work that is under review or has already been published or accepted for publication elsewhere will not be accepted.
  • Abstracts need to be pre-submitted followed by a timely submission of the full work.
  • Papers must not exceed 15 pages (with unlimited references) and must be in English.
  • Submissions must be either in PDF or in HTML, formatted in the style of the Springer Publications format for Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS).
  • The Research track follows a dual anonymous reviewing process.
  • The Resource and In-Use Track follow a single anonymous reviewing process.
  • Authors will have the opportunity to submit a rebuttal to the reviews.
  • At least one author per contribution must register for the conference for presentation.
  • Submission is done through EasyChair. Select the appropriate track when logging in.

Use of LLM Generated Text

For ESWC 2025, the use of generative AI tools and technologies is permitted but must be fully disclosed in the Work in the Acknowledgements section. Generative AI tools cannot be listed as authors.
