The Joint IAPR International Workshops on Statistical Techniques in Pattern Recognition and Structural and Syntactic Pattern Recognition (S+SSPR 2026) will be held in Bern, Switzerland, from August 24-26, 2026. It is organized by Technical Committee 1 and Technical Committee 2 of the International Association of Pattern Recognition. Accepted papers will be published in Springer’s Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series.

The Joint IAPR International Workshops on Statistical Techniques in Pattern Recognition and Structural and Syntactic Pattern Recognition (S+SSPR 2026) invites submissions addressing topics in statistical, structural, or syntactic pattern recognition and their applications.

Submission Guidelines
- Manuscripts should be a maximum of 10 pages, including all references.
- Follow Springer’s LNCS style (Latex or Word).
- Submit papers via EasyChair in PDF format.
- Accepted papers will be published in Springer’s LNCS series, provided that at least one author registers for the workshop and presents the paper.

Camera-Ready Instructions
- Camera-ready versions of accepted papers are due on July 15, 2026.
- Papers should be in LNCS format and abide by the strict page limit of 10 pages, including references.
- Do not abuse the LNCS format.
- Ensure figures and labelling are clear and readable.
- Familiarize yourself with the LNCS author guidelines.
- Take reviewers' comments into consideration.
Prepare the following files for your camera-ready submission:
- A zipped file containing all your LaTeX sources OR a Word file in the RTF format.
- A PDF version of your camera-ready paper.
- A completed, scanned, and signed copy of the Copyright form.
Registration Fees
All prices are in CHF. IAPR Members and Students are required to send proof of status to the Secretariat (corina.masanti@unibe.ch). All accepted papers require one Early Bird registration from at least one author of the paper. Please mention your paper number when registering. Each registration can cover a maximum of three papers.
Each type of registration entitles the purchaser access to:
- All presentations including the keynotes
- Lunches (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday)
- Coffee breaks and snacks
- Exquisite conference dinner
- Welcome reception
