BCS HCI 2025: Call for Research Papers

The British Computer Society Human-Computer Interaction Conference (BCS HCI 2025) will be held in-person from November 8th to 11th, 2025, hosted by Cardiff University. The theme is HCI4AI – Human Centred Approaches and their Impact on AI system design, application, and evaluation.

Call for Submissions

We invite researchers, practitioners, and academics to submit original full research papers presenting comprehensive studies, groundbreaking research, and significant developments in the field of HCI. We welcome submissions on a wide range of topics as listed on the main programme page.

Submission Guidelines

• Paper Length: Full papers should be between 6 and 10 pages, excluding references. Appendices are optional, but should not exceed 5 pages in length.
• Formatting: Adhere to the Electronic Workshops in Computing paper format. Submit papers in PDF format.
• Originality: Submissions must present original work not previously published or under review elsewhere.
• Review Process: All papers will undergo a double-blind peer review process. Ensure submissions are anonymized. Rejected papers may be given the option to submit as a poster instead.

Presentation

Accepted papers will be presented during the conference in oral sessions. At least one author must register and attend the conference to present the work.

Publication

Accepted full papers will be published in the conference proceedings, accessible via ScienceOpen.
