IEEE ICWS 2025: Call for Papers

The IEEE International Conference on Web Services (ICWS) 2025 will be held in Helsinki, Finland from July 7-12, 2025, as part of the IEEE World Congress on SERVICES. ICWS is a forum for researchers and industry practitioners to exchange the latest advances in Web-based services.

• Full Conference – Paper Submission Deadline: March 10, 2025 (11pm AoE) Extended and Firm
• Acceptance Notifications: Extended: May 12, 2025
• Camera-ready and registration (for all papers): Extended: June 6, 2025
• Early Bird registration deadline: June 20
• Symposia and Workshop Paper submission deadlines: See symposium or workshop CFP for paper submission deadlines.
• Acceptance notifications for symposia/workshops: May 16, 2025
• Camera-ready and registration for symposia/workshops: May 30, 2025

Paper Designators

Every paper must be registered with a correct paper designator, which is a combination of the designator prefix and the paper ID generated by EasyChair.

For the six main conferences, the 3-letter code based designator naming template is:

• ConfSymAcronym is:
  • CLD – IEEE CLOUD 2025
  • CDH – IEEE ICDH 2025
  • CWS – IEEE ICWS 2025
  • EDG – IEEE EDGE 2025

  • SSE – IEEE SSE 2025
• PaperType is:
  • REG – regular papers
  • SHT – short papers
  • WIP – work-in-progress papers
  • SYM – symposium papers

• PaperNumber (#) is a 1-3 digit number generated by EasyChair.

Information for Authors

• Language: English
• Paper size and format: US Letter; Two-column format in the IEEE style.
• Please download the paper template in WORD, LaTeX or Overleaf.

Page limits:

• Regular Paper: 7 to 10 pages (main contents) + additional pages for references.

• Short Paper: 4 to 6 pages (main contents) + additional pages for references.

• Work-in-Progress (WIP): Up to 3 pages (including main contents and references).

• Number of Keywords: Five to eight keywords for each paper

• File format: One single PDF file without embedded videos

Anonymous manuscripts:

IEEE SERVICES implements a double-blind reviewing process. Author names and affiliations should not appear in the paper.

AI Generated Content:

The use of content generated by artificial intelligence (AI) in an article shall be disclosed in the acknowledgments section.

Submission of Unpublished Articles or Technical Reports:

Per IEEE policy, unpublished articles or technical reports on a non-profit preprint server can be submitted for consideration after necessary changes.

Presentation Policy

1. Registration: All papers must be registered!
2. Inexcusable no show: Inexcusable no-shows will result in the papers being removed from the conference proceedings.
3. Paper presentation: Each paper must be presented in English.
4. Pre-recorded videos: All remote presenters with papers in the proceedings must upload a pre-recorded video of their presentation.

Presentation Time (including Q&A)

• Regular papers: 20 minutes
• Short papers: 15 minutes
• WIP papers: 10 minutes

Additional Notes for Symposium/Workshop Paper Authors

• Important dates for symposium/workshop paper submissions are different from those for conference CFP submission.
• The double-blind policy does not apply to symposium/workshop paper submissions.
• The submitter of a symposium/workshop paper must select the target symposium/workshop track after logging into EasyChair at https://easychair.org/my/conference?conf=2025ieeeservices
