Resumen General

The 18th International Symposium on Visual Information Communication and Interaction (VINCI '25) will be held in Linz, Austria, from December 1-3, 2025. VINCI is a premier international forum for discussing the state of the art in visual communication theories, designs, and applications. The symposium invites submissions for Technical Papers, Art Papers, and Art and Media Galleries.

VINCI 2025: Call for Papers

The 18th International Symposium on Visual Information Communication and Interaction (VINCI '25) will be held in Linz, Austria, from December 1-3, 2025.

VINCI is the premier international forum for researchers and industrial practitioners to discuss the state of the art in visual communication theories, designs, and applications.

Topics of Interest

We solicit original, unpublished research papers that focus on all aspects of visual information communication and interaction, either via images, computer graphics, animations, virtual reality, web, artistic projects, or other visual media. Research papers should address cognitive and design aspects, underlying theories, taxonomies, implementation work, tool support, and case studies.

Submission Types and Page Limits

All submissions will be strictly peer-reviewed by at least three members of our international program committee.

Technical Papers:

  • Full Papers: max. 8 pages (incl. references!)
  • Short Papers: max. 4 pages + 1 extra page which contains ONLY references
  • Posters: max. 2 pages (incl. references!)

Art Papers:

  • Full Papers: max. 8 pages (incl. references!)
  • Short Papers: max. 4 pages + 1 extra page which contains ONLY references
  • Posters: max. 2 pages (incl. references!)

Art and Media Galleries:

  • Media Demos: Novel experiences, productions, and applications (e.g., Metaverse, Digital Twin, Digital Human, AI Video).
  • Artworks: Artistic creations exploring new artistic expression, creativity, and creation possibilities suitable for display on a digital screen or canvas, including AIGC artworks.

Submissions for both types should include up to 2 pages of poster/description/artist’s statement. Works should have been completed within the last 5 years (in or after 2020).

Publication

  • The peer-reviewed conference proceedings will be published by ACM as part of the ACM International Conference Proceeding Series (ICPS).
  • Published papers will also be indexed by EI.
  • Selected high-impact full-text papers will be considered for special issues in the Journal of Visualization and Information Visualization.

ACM Open Access Fees

Authors based at institutions that are not part of the ACM Open program and do not qualify for a waiver will be required to pay an article processing charge (APC) to publish their ICPS article in the ACM Digital Library.
